Tony Castaneda Latin Jazz Sextet – 6 pm

Latin Jazz and Dance Band

The Tony Castaneda Latin Jazz Sextet has won the Isthmus Readers Favorite Jazz Band award 10 or more times.  They play jazzy, upbeat latin music great for dancing or listening.

The band includes many of the best musicians in the area including the very popular and talented Dave Stoler on keyboards and Tony Castaneda on congas, bongos, vocals and other percussion.

They have performed with some of the international stars of Latin jazz, including Cuban percussionist Roberto Viscaino of the Chucho Valdez Group, Tito Puente, Los Lobos and the band War.  See http://www.wildriceconcerts.org/vol031211.php.

Area dancers fill the Cardinal Bar floor every Sunday nights to dance to them.  Their years playing at Isthmus Jazz Fest, Jazz at 5 and other fine venues .
